A smiling man with a beard and short hair, wearing a maroon shirt, standing in front of a bookshelf filled with books and a potted plant. James Cousins the author is sitting in his chair surrounded by detective crime fiction books

Hello, I’m James…

James Cousins was brought up with a book in his hand, admittedly it was Jemima Puddle-Duck, but things change quickly and before long he was devouring anything by Agatha Christie or P.D James. When he moved on to P.G Wodehouse an inevitable strangeness entered his writing.

He now writes Golden Age inspired detective fiction with a cosy twist. Think vicars, cats, grannies but death, deception, power and intrigue all in a village near you.

James live in Surrey with his wife and two children.
